Program Manager CDC DELTA

• Managed the The Domestic Violence Prevention Enhancements and Leadership Through Alliances (DELTA) Impact grant through the Centers for Disease Control aimed at community and societal level primary prevention for interpersonal violence across the entire state of TN

• Organized and managed a statewide action planning committee responsible for developing a TN approach to ending violence via community and societal level culture change across the state

• Grew the statewide planning committee by 200% via my commitment to relationship building across government, non profit, academic, and private sectors

• Oversaw implementation and evaluation of financial empowerment, healthy masculinity, and bystander intervention programs with local partners in over 10 different counties

• Managed projects that were a year behind schedule at the time of my hire and brought them up to speed to complete grant goals on time and ahead of schedule

• Supervised a program specialist and the "IPV in the workplace" component of the grant resulting in an online training module and sample workplace policy for interpersonal violence across the state and for department of labor use

• Created a social marketing campaign to change culture norms around gender equity via brochures, informational giveaways, newsletters, webinars, and more

• Designed webinars to teach individuals about financial empowerment and other protective factors for preventing gender based violence; as well as the intersection between interpersonal violence and trauma responses such as substance abuse, eating disorders, suicide and more

Consultant

• Moved the in person national conference to an online platform and structure due to the pandemic 

• Created several resources for victim advocates and lawyers related to COVID-19 including one pagers on accessing remote court hearings

• Assisted in the national needs assessment on the financial impact of COVID on Domestic Violence survivors 

• Created all marketing strategy and branding identity revamp

• Provided in person and hotline support to students experiencing all forms of PBV

• Accompanied students through processes such as Title IX, local court, forensic exams, and more

• Created a peer to peer educational model from scratch for the OneLove program. This included recruitment, application, train the trainer, and evaluation processes for the new program

• Led Green Dot, healthy relationship, consent, etc trainings for the campus community including staff, students, and faculty

• Researched, designed and developed monthly training content to ensure hotline staff maintains up to date knowledge on sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking and more

• Designed and monitored assessment tools for feedback on training content to ensure quality control and improved training feedback ratings by 30% in less than a year

• Managed 60 plus Safe Helpline hotline staff: including troubleshooting shift scheduling issues, maintaining and communicating employee evaluations, providing feedback on hotline calls/chats, and hiring new hotline staff

Gender Violence Program Coordinator

• Trained students in Bystander Intervention and I Am Ready facilitation to enhance gender based violence knowledge and trauma facilitation skills

• Researched topics and current/recent cases to keep training materials up to date

• Assisted in recruiting, selecting, and training student facilitators for new student orientation break out groups; as well as collaborate with Sexual Assault Peer Educators and Take Back the Night student groups

• Organized logistics for large scale sexual assault awareness events including I Am Ready (1,500+) and Are You Ready (200+); including communicating with guest speakers, creating agenda’s, creating marketing materials, and managing volunteers

• Managed Domestic Violence Awareness and Sexual Assault Awareness Month activities and worked with various partner offices (LGBTQ Resource Center & Center for Multicultural Equity and Access etc) to execute Take Back the Night and Denim Day
